At EuroShop 2026, Modern Expo received the Best Stand Design Award — a recognition that was fully deserved.
What made this project exceptional was not only its visual impact, but its integrity. The entire stand, from concept and spatial design to fabrication and decoration, was developed and executed by the internal team at Modern Expo. The result was not a traditional exhibition booth, but a carefully orchestrated brand environment with a clear visitor journey.
Platforma was responsible for delivering and integrating the LED infrastructure that powered the digital dimension of the stand.
A Digital Layer Embedded into Architecture
Our goal was not simply to install displays, but to ensure that LED technology became part of the architectural and narrative structure of the space.
The stand included:
• Entrance LED screen presenting dynamic event announcements and brand content
• Large-format corner display acting as a visual anchor within the exhibition hall
• Interactive LED screen welcoming visitors and responding to their gestures
• Conference area LED setup supporting presentations, discussions and product demonstrations
Each element was integrated to maintain visual consistency, brightness control and spatial balance within the stand’s architectural design.
The Immersive Room: From Product Display to Experience
The culmination of the visitor journey was an immersive space positioned at the end of the product exhibition.
Its purpose was not informational, it was transformational. The objective was to transport visitors into an alternative, imaginative environment, allowing them to disconnect from the exhibition context and open themselves to new ideas.
The immersive environment was created and rendered in real time using Unreal Engine servers. This was not pre-rendered video content, there were no loops, it was a live digital world.
Visitors triggered different scenarios using gesture interaction. The system responded instantly, dynamically changing the atmosphere and visual composition of the space. The LED screens functioned as a full visual shell of a real-time environment, synchronized with a gesture recognition system.
This integration required precise coordination between LED hardware, real-time rendering servers and interactive input systems to ensure latency-free response and visual continuity.
Beyond Square Meters
Projects like this reflect a broader shift within the exhibition and retail industry.
LED is no longer defined by surface area alone, it is increasingly defined by integration. Architecture, real-time 3D graphics, interactivity and display technology are converging into unified spatial systems.
In this project, LED screens were not standalone media surfaces — they became an active part of the experiential ecosystem designed by Modern Expo.
The Result
An award-winning stand. A cohesive spatial narrative.
A digital layer that extended the architectural concept into an immersive, responsive environment.
We are proud to have contributed the LED and real-time infrastructure to a project that demonstrates how exhibition spaces are evolving into immersive brand worlds.
