UEFA Draws: EURO & Champions League Installations

Between 2012 and 2015, Platforma supplied and integrated broadcast-grade LED backdrop solutions for several major UEFA draw events, supporting live television broadcasts across Europe.
These projects were delivered in collaboration with Bullitt Productions, the event production partner.

Platforma’s scope included the following events:
• UEFA EURO 2012 Final Draw — Kyiv, Ukraine
• UEFA EURO 2016 Qualifying Draw — Nice, France
• UEFA Champions League Draws — Monaco (2012–2014)

A key technical challenge was the seamless integration of LED backdrops with projection-based upper screens within a single broadcast environment. Platforma ensured that the LED screens could operate at very low brightness levels while maintaining accurate color matching and tonal consistency with the projection system — a critical requirement for live television.

To achieve this, Platforma deployed LED screens powered by the EKTA ERMAC control system, enabling precise brightness control, fine color calibration, and stable on-camera performance. This approach ensured a cohesive visual result that met UEFA’s strict broadcast and branding standards.
