Virtual Production for Feature Film ‘Honeymoon‘

Honeymoon is the debut feature film by Ukrainian director Zhanna Ozirna, produced by Toy Cinema. Set entirely in a single apartment near Kyiv, the film follows a couple trapped in their home during the first days of war, confronting both external threats and the raw truths of human intimacy.

To support the film’s unique visual storytelling, Platforma integrated and operated a mobile LED volume on set in the film studio. The LED screens were positioned behind the apartment’s windows to simulate changing outdoor environments in real time, allowing the filmmakers to realistically depict the passage of time — from dawn to dusk, without changing location.

By enabling dynamic, naturalistic lighting and reflections, Platforma’s virtual studio setup helped maintain immersion while maximizing efficiency in a single-location shoot.
